Syrian refugees beginning to arrive in New Orleans
International Politics

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The flood of refugees migrating from the terror in Syria and Afghanistan has begun to have a trickle effect in the New Orleans area.

"We had served two families, we're expecting one more soon, and we do not know how many more, but we expect more," said Martin Gutierrez of Catholic Charities, which is part of the Archidiocese of New Orleans.

Catholic Charities has targeted services for helping refugees.

"So it's a matter of uniting the families, which is something that the church really promotes, obviously. Some of them don't have relatives and we try to help them become integral parts of our communities," Gutierrez said.

But some have argued against the U.S. accepting Syrian refugees, fearing terrorists might slip through the cracks. We turned to former New Orleans FBI chief and anti-terrorism expert Jim Bernazzani for insight on whether that's a legitimate concern. Before coming to New Orleans, Bernazzani worked to  ramp up the nation's anti-terror strategies after 911.

"If I was in charge of ISIL, logistically I'd take advantage of this situation and put my people in, into the United States," Bernazzani said. "Now with that said, the FBI is on top of this big time with our Joint Terrorism Task Force and we have what's called a Terrorist Screening Center that these individuals will be run through."

But make no mistake, not every refugee seeking admission to the U.S. would face such scrutiny.

"It's going to be the 18- to 45-year-old male for the most part," he said. "It's a percentage game. It's not fail-safe, but it's a percentage game."

Still, as more of the refugees take up residency in the New Orleans area, Bernazzani discourages fear.

"These are just people from another country trying to escape misery by virtue of a civil war," he said. "We had our own civil war, and so I wouldn't be worried, but I would be vigilant," he said.

As local humanitarian agencies continue to serve refugees from Syria who find their way here, "there are multiple background checks that are done on these families and it is part of our  Christian faith to welcome the stranger," said Gutierrez.

Trump's call to end abuse of US birthright citizenship divides GOP
International Politics

Published August 22, 2015  FoxNews.com

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s call to end birthright citizenship for children of illegal immigrants has refueled the immigration debate and spilt the GOP field and legal experts who question whether such a change is possible.

Trump’s plan goes after the 14th amendment, which grants citizenship to essentially anybody born in the United States. But he is particularly focused on stopping pregnant women from illegally crossing the U.S.-Mexico border for the purpose of having a child or an “anchor baby,” which reduces the likelihood of the parents being deported.

Trump announced his plan Sunday, calling the amendment the country’s “biggest magnet for illegal immigration.” And he continues to suggest that his lawyers think the amendment might not withstand a court challenge.

“I was right,” Trump, the billionaire businessman and top GOP candidate, said Friday night at a rally in Alabama. “You can do something, quickly.”

However, other candidates and legal experts are split on the issue.

“Trump thinks ‘our country is going to hell.’ Well, there is likely little more than a chance in hell that we are going to amend the Constitution,” Jessica Levinson, a law professor at Loyola University of Los Angeles, said Wednesday. “Amending the Constitution is one of the most serious things that lawmakers can do. Therefore the path to doing it is rightfully arduous. I would put the chances … as beyond a longshot."

To be sure, changing the Constitution, the supreme law of the land, would require a two-thirds vote in Congress, then ratification from three-fourths of state legislatures. It could also be changed through a constitutional convention in which at least 34 states convene to vote on an amendment, which would then need ratification from a minimum 38 states.

Trump since announcing his candidacy in mid-June has made illegal immigrants from Mexico a top concern and has suggested several solutions -- including a wall along the southern border and the change to birthright citizenship...

International Politics

by Todd Brendan Fahey

Seven days prior to events which would set the world on-edge, newly-hired Pentagon spokeswoman Victoria "Torie" Clarke offered an equally startling admission to Agency France Presse wire service, but which received scant attention within U.S. media sources.

Ms. Clarke-- having been lured back into government service by pal Mary Matalin on Vice President Dick Cheney's staff, from a high-paying post as Manhattan office director for the venerable public relations firm of Hill & Knowlton--the former PR chief to Senator John McCain and one-time George Bush (the elder) staffer would divulge to foreign media that the United States, via the Pentagon and the shadowy Defense Cooperative Threat Reduction Program, would begin producing a new and potent strain of anthrax bacteria, and that such plans had been in the works since 1997. The source of the anthrax was to be from Russian stock, and, according to Ms. Clarke, would be used "purely for defensive measures."

The new strain of anthrax, engineered by Russian sources, Clarke purported, would be used to test the effectiveness of a newly-developed vaccine in the United States. "We have a vaccine that works against a known anthrax strain. What we want to do is make sure we are prepared for any surprises, for anything that might happen that might be a threat," she said.

Clarke presented this information on September 4, 2001, via a Department of Defense news briefing; when asked directly as to whether the United States, through any agency, was developing or producing anthrax bacilli, her response, repeatedly, was, "no."

The DoD issued this update recently to Ms. Clarke's news briefing: "the Department of Defense Cooperative Threat Reduction Program is funding a collaborative research project on anthrax monitoring with the State Research Center for Applied Microbiology in Obolensk, Russia. In August 2001 the State Research Center applied to the Russian Export Control Commission for a license to transfer the anthrax strain to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control. The application is currently pending a decision of the Russian Export Control Commission, and the U.S. government will seek Russian approval of the export license."

One week after this news conference, three hijacked airliners slammed into the World Trade Center and Pentagon buildings, killing an estimated 3,100 civilian and military personnel. Shortly thereafter, white powder began to appear on the desks of prominent politicians and at news broadcast stations--most notably at NBC and American Media, headquarters of The National Enquirer tabloid--and bearing strikingly identical handwriting, each dated "09-11-01" and proclaiming the message, "Allah Is Great."

Incredibly, despite airport videotapes of Middle Eastern men boarding the various hijacked jets, and what with the messages contained on and within the anthrax envelopes and the fact that hijackers Mohammed Atta and Marwan al-Shehhi had taken flight training lessons at a private airfield very near to American Media's headquarters, Boca Raton, Florida, and that al-Shehhi had rented a room in a condominium owned by the wife of American Media (National Enquirer) publisher, news reports filtered out for weeks, attempting to convince the public that FBI profilers had determined the anthrax exposures in New York, Connecticut and Florida to be the work of a "right-wing loner"; anonymous FBI sources, through the Washington Post, offered that a "popular West Coast right-wing organization" was under specific scrutiny.

Domestic critics of the government would counter that the style in which the dates were penned on the envelopes containing the anthrax spores could not be that of a person of Middle Eastern descent, which would use a script akin to: "01. 09. 11."; government sources bandied back that, the sources probably thought ahead and disguised the script. Nobody knew what to believe, and the investigations into the anthrax exposures were not (and are still not) being made known to the American citizenry.

The American public didn't bite on the "right-wing loner" theory, with no proof offered, no suspect produced, and in light of a New York Timesarticle, citing weapons expert William C. Patrick III, a U.S. microbiologist active in germ weapons design during the late 1960s. The Timesquoted Dr. Patrick as saying, of the batch sent to Senator Tom Daschle (D-SD), "he had learned details of the federal inquiry from a senior investigator. The Senate powder, Mr. Patrick said, was quite potent and capable of sailing far through the air to hurt many people.remarkably free of extraneous material. `It's high-grade,' said Mr. Patrick, who consults widely on making germ defenses. `It's free flowing. It's electrostatic free. And it's in high concentration.'" ("Contradicting Some U.S. Officials, 3 Scientists Call Anthrax Powder High-Grade," William J. Broad, 10/25/01)

Pressured by the Times report, newly-installed Director of the Department of Homeland Security, former Pennsylvania Governor Tom Ridge, announced that the type of anthrax found at all locations corresponded to a perfect genetic match to one (1) specific stock of anthrax bacilli, known as "the Ames strain," developed at the US Department of Agriculture's veterinary lab, Ames, Iowa, in the 1930s, and stored currently only at an Army biochemical research facility in Ft. Detrick, Maryland, which it is said produced via budget cuts and layoffs scores of disgruntled employees and whose inventory procedures and security was, in recent years, notoriously lax.

Within days of the failed government trial-balloon, samples of the anthrax sent to office within National Broadcasting Company and to Sen. Daschle proved what most "right-wingers" feared most: The Anthrax Was Ours.

But We Weren't Supposed to be Producing Anthrax

On December 12, 2001, media scrutiny of international treaties and U.S. law forced the U.S. Army to make an embarrassed admission: contrary to government propaganda, which had it that the U.S. had ceased producing or storing anthrax, according to terms of treaty signed by President Richard Nixon, 1969, substantial stocks of anthrax bacilli were, in fact, being stored at Dugway Proving Ground, Tooele county, Utah, with "limited quanties" still being produced, toward "defensive research" against possible airborne attacks by hostile sources. Army sources at the Dugway facility reported to FBI that all stocks of anthrax were secure and accounted for, following a thorough inventory. The same could not be said for elsewhere.

International media--tipped off by British sources at a biochemical warfare research facility in Porton Down, Salisbury, England--were informed that an investigation was underway at Porton Down, of stocks of a unique form of anthrax sent to that facility via the U.S. Army, Ft. Detrick. From the Porton Down admission, not only was it acknowledged that the U.S. government was exporting anthrax abroad, but via the "FBI's interest in a CIA contractor" who worked at the Porton Down facility, the Federal Bureau of Investigation began, as is its charter and scope, to investigate the Central Intelligence Agency, on grounds of domestic terrorism. Porton Down was later cleared of involvement in the U.S. anthrax outbreaks, after all stocks were accounted for, but not before British involvement laid the U.S. clean with a very black eye.

And still, according to the London Telegraph, and despite Tom Ridge's admission that the Florida and New York samples were identical and were that of "the Ames strain," held only at US Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Diseases, Ft. Detrick, Maryland, FBI persisted in reporting that it "believes the attacks, which have killed five people, to be the work of a domestic terrorist, although they have not ruled out links with Osama bin Laden and his al-Qa'eda network."

The highly-milled, "weaponized" anthrax which killed five known persons, sickened dozens of others, and to which perhaps even hundreds were exposed, was not Iraqi, nor Soviet in origin. Martin Hugh-Jones, a biological researcher from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, was quoted by the UK's New Scientist that, "while many laboratory animals are immunised with the vaccine now being given to thousands of American troops are exposed to anthrax, many are still killed by the Ames strain."

Both Soviet and Iraqi researchers favored the "Vollum strain," isolated in Oxford, England, in 1930; Gulf War-era weapons inspectors in Iraq found samples of the Vollum strain at Iraq's Al Hakam plant.

And still, according to New Scientist, "the White House reiterated last week that all anthrax mass-produced in the US was destroyed after 1969." ("Trail of Terror," Debora MacKenzie, 10/24/01)

But the White House and the Pentagon were lying. And whether by error, leak or design, the United States Government had killed five of its own citizens domestically. Torie Clarke's statement to Agency France Presse had not been valid and true: we were not "looking to procure" a stock of Russian anthrax; we were already making it, with spores bred from a stricken cow in Ames, Iowa, in secret, illegally by international treaty, and with faulty safeguards toward our citizens' safety.

Meltdown at the Pentagon: OSI Leaked from Within

On February 19, 2002, news reports began running hot and fast that the Pentagon had created formally an agency through which to "influence opinion" abroad; the Office of Strategic Influence (OSI), as it was to be called, would be run by retired Brigadier General Simon "Pete" Worden--an eccentric character, with heavy ties to former Reagan Cabinet member Frank Carlucci's Carlyle Group, given to answering his staff in fluent Russian and a master of practical jokes (hence, some say, OSI's acronymic similarity to the fictional "Office of Special Intelligence" in the 70's TV series, The Six Million-Dollar Man).

Associate Press reporter Sally Buzbee broke the story officially, citing as her source: "a defense official said Tuesday on condition of anonymity." Within minutes, the AP report had circulated to top-of-the-bar news on the popular Yahoo News site, and, moments later, was disseminated via FreeRepublic.com, where the general consensus was one of extreme discontent.

According to the AP story, "State Department spokesman Richard Boucher said the department was aware of the Pentagon office but declined to discuss its functions." Deputy Director of Defense Paul Wolfowitz, addressing the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics in Washington on the day of the leak, declined comment on the report. Clearly, the Departments of State and Defense were caught off-guard and uncomfortable in addressing the issue before consulting with their superiors: Colin Powell, Donald Rumsfeld and George W. Bush.

While many activists and journalists stationed themselves before their keyboards with reactions to the news, Insight magazine managing editor Paul Rodriguez sought to ferret out the source of the leak. His conclusions, which are his own, but which are impressive and which have not been answered, in now-49 days of continuous inquires, by the subject herself, point to FreeRepublic.com poster and Pentagon Deputy Director of Public Affairs Victoria "Torie" Clarke. It is surmised by those who know Ms. Clarke that the strong-willed, militarily-challenged new-hire felt threatened in her public relations position by the emerging Office of Strategic Influence, to be headed by a military General. Knowing "Torie" Clarke, as I do, such a disclosure is perfectly in keeping with her character, as a power-hungry ladder-climber and self-proclaimed "statist neocon," but I'll leave this angle to Mr. Rodriguez and his staff at Insight.

And although the Pentagon "officially" closed its Office of Strategic Influence one-week-to-the-day post-leak, with the nation nearly dead-square against such a proposal, the facts herein are ugly and indisputable:

1) The Pentagon, despite its protestations of ignorance, lied to the American public about its stockpile and continued production, however limited, of anthrax bacilli.

2) The White House either lied to the American public about the aforementioned Pentagon activities, or was ignorant of the Pentagon's operations and is, therefore, negligent in its executive oversight capacity of the Department of Defense.

3) The Pentagon's disinformation campaign--contrary to reports that it began on February 19, 2002, was already in motion on September 5, 2001, and Victoria Clarke, as Deputy Director for Public Affairs was its "go-to girl" on "the anthrax question."

4) Should "Torie" Clarke retain her position at the Pentagon, President George W. Bush will have committed a mockery of his promise of a "leak-free Administration," to be offered alongside his breach of promise in re: signing John McCain's Campaign Finance Reform and his opposition to "amnesty" for illegal aliens--a foetid buffet, served, as always, on the finest of bone-China to the "grassroots," in 2004, and earning him a place alongside his father, in the "read my lips" Hall of Shame.

Was Tariq Aziz The Coalition's Mole?: Independent Media Scooped London Telegraph
International Politics

Todd Brendan Fahey has beaten the mainstream press to the punch yet again.

Find below his Sianews.com report on U.S. Iraqi Asset Tariq Aziz, and then see the "mainstream" press confirm it a month later.

Tariq Aziz Fingered Saddam Hussein for Death

by Todd Brendan Fahey
03/23/03 01:13 AM

Confidential Intelligence sources now report that Tariq Aziz, long-time aide to Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and nominal "Vice Premier" of Iraq, was the finger-man behind the U.S. bombing raid on Hussein's safe-house.

Aziz was reported to have defected to Northern Iraq and/or Iran early in the U.S. campaign, by various news networks, including Fox News and MSNBC. The "defection" is now being viewed as a ruse by the Pentagon's disinformation outlets, to protect Aziz against repercussions by Iraqi insiders.

According to sources, Aziz divulged whereabouts of his boss in exchange for guarantees by the United States for his own personal survival.

The only Christian in Saddam Hussein's Ba'ath Party Cabinet, and a vehement spokesman and champion of Hussein throughout the Gulf War of 1991, Mr. Aziz has held a rocky relationship with Hussein over the past 12 years. Demoted, fired, rehired, shuffled around and reassigned from and to various positions within Hussein's party hierarchy; the subject of abuse by Hussein's two sons--both believed to be dead--; Intelligence sources, speaking upon condition of anonymity to SiaNews.com, assert that Aziz accepted offers of personal security guarantees by the U.S. State Department and Department of Defense as early as March of 2002, in exchange for details leading to a "quick demise" of Saddam Hussein...

Fahey, a strategic writer stationed in South Korea, has served as aide to Central Intelligence Agency agent Theodore L. "Ted" Humes, Division of Slavic Languages, and to the late-Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) chief Lt. General Daniel O. Graham; to former Arizona Governor Evan Mecham (R-AZ), former Congressman John Conlan (R-AZ) and others.

The Mainstream press was just five weeks late with this story.

Was Tariq Aziz The Coalition's Mole?

Saddam's trusted foreign policy adviser may in fact be the Iraqi spy who provided the intelligence responsible for the cruise missile attack on the Iraqi dictator's bunker in southern Baghdad in the opening salvoes of the conflict.

By Con Coughlin

04/27/03: (Telegraph) Saddam Hussein's security chiefs placed members of Tariq Aziz's family under arrest shortly before the start of the war to make sure that the former Iraqi deputy prime minister did not defect to the West, The Telegraph can reveal.

Concerns about the fate of his family - in particular his eldest son - if he surrendered to coalition forces was Aziz's primary concern during the lengthy negotiations that finally resulted in his decision to give himself up at the end of last week.

"Tariq was still terrified of what the remnants of Saddam's regime would do to his family if he surrendered to us," said a Western security officer. "Even if Saddam were dead, he knew that there were still Ba'ath Party loyalists who would want to exact revenge on his family."

As part of Aziz's surrender terms, coalition commanders agreed to place the Iraqi politician's immediate family under the equivalent of protective custody to ensure that they were safe from revenge attacks by Saddam loyalists.

But yesterday the favourable surrender terms agreed between coalition commanders and Aziz prompted speculation that Saddam's trusted foreign policy adviser may in fact be the Iraqi spy who provided the intelligence responsible for the cruise missile attack on the Iraqi dictator's bunker in southern Baghdad in the opening salvoes of the conflict.

Intelligence officials have claimed that the information they received that allowed them to target Saddam's bunker came from a "senior official" within the Ba'ath regime, and as one of the leading members of the ruling Revolutionary Command Council (RCC) Aziz would have prior warning that Saddam was planning to hold a meeting at one of his heavily-fortified bunkers.

"You get the feeling, now that Aziz is safely in American custody, that he will be getting re-acquainted with people he has known for quite some time," said a former CIA officer who specialises in Iraq.

"The information that enabled the coalition forces to target Saddam in the opening hours of the war could only have come from someone like Aziz who had access to Saddam's inner circle."

There has been intense speculation about Saddam's fate since the attack on the bunker in the early hours of March 20. At first it was reported that Saddam had been killed in the attack, then it was suggested that he had suffered non-life threatening injuries that had been treated by a specialist team of Russian doctors.

Coalition officials appeared to confirm that Saddam had survived the initial strike when they bombed a restaurant complex in central Baghdad on April 7 at which the Iraqi dictator had been seen arriving with his younger son, Qusay, and other Ba'ath Party officials.

At the end of last week, however, President George W Bush said he believed that Saddam had either been killed or critically injured in the March 20 attack, and paid tribute to the "brave soul" who provided CentCom with the intelligence that enabled the attack to take place. Asked if the Iraqi spy was still alive, Mr Bush replied: "Yes he is. He is with us. Thank God."

Whether or not Aziz was responsible for providing intelligence about Saddam's whereabouts during the conflict, there is no doubt that the Iraqi dictator had become deeply suspicious about his deputy prime minister's intentions.

Relations between the two men had become strained in the aftermath of the Gulf war in 1991 when Saddam became concerned that Aziz, who was then his foreign minister, enjoyed too much popularity among Iraqis as a result of his well-publicised international diplomatic activities.

As the only Christian among the Sunni Muslim clique that controlled the Iraqi Ba'ath Party, Aziz has always been regarded as an outsider since he came to Saddam's attention in the 1970s for his staunch anti-Communist views, which he regularly aired in the columns of al-Thawra (The Revolution), the Ba'ath Party newspaper that he edited.

In recent years Aziz had been sidelined following his appointment as deputy prime minister, although he managed to retain his position on the all-important RCC, the Ba'athists' main decision-making body.

The only reason that Aziz managed to survive this period is that Saddam continued to rely on his expertise in foreign affairs, where his urbane charm enabled him to make an impact in countries that were eager to develop lucrative trade ties with Baghdad.

In the late 1990s, when Aziz failed to persuade the United Nations to lift the sanctions imposed on Iraq at the end of the Gulf war, Saddam briefly imprisoned the politician's eldest son as punishment.

In the weeks preceding Operation Iraqi Freedom, Saddam ordered the detention of several members of Aziz's family following suspicions that he was preparing to defect to the West.

When, shortly after the conflict started, however, Washington officials dropped heavy hints that the Iraqi official had defected, Aziz appeared before journalists in Baghdad angrily denouncing the claims, saying that he would "rather die" than be taken into custody by the Americans.

Aziz's surrender is undoubtedly an enormous propaganda coup for coalition commanders as he would never have contemplated surrendering if he thought there was any chance that Saddam or his two sons, Uday and Qusay, could continue to pose a threat.

Indeed, given his proximity to the regime, coalition commanders will be hoping that Aziz will be able to provide them with details of the fate of Saddam's family.

Whether he can bring any light to bear on the all-important issue of where Saddam's weapons of mass destruction arsenal is located is another matter.

Throughout the 30 years that Aziz worked for Saddam, he was never a member of the Iraqi dictator's inner circle and it is unlikely that he enjoyed a detailed knowledge of Saddam's biological, chemical and nuclear weapons programmes.

Con Coughlin is the author of Saddam: The Secret Life (Macmillan).

Pat Buchanan: If GOP has no room for The Donald's followers, it has no future

by Patrick J. Buchanan - August 14, 2015

In the Cleveland debate, Donald Trump refused to commit to support whomever the Republican Party nominates in 2016.

Trump would be wise to maintain his freedom of action.

For there is a plot afoot in the Washington Post Conservative Club to purge Trump from the Republican Party before the primaries begin.

“A political party has a right to … secure its borders,” asserts the Post’s George Will, “a duty to exclude interlopers.” Will wants The Donald “excommunicated” and locked out of all GOP debates until he kneels and takes a loyalty oath to the nominee.

“Marginalizing Trump” carries no risk of “alienating a substantial Republican cohort,” Will assures us, for these “Trumpites” are neither Republicans nor conservatives. Better off without such trash.

The Post’s Michael Gerson says “establishment Republicans” must “make clear that [Trump] has moved beyond the boundaries of serious and civil discourse.” He loathes the Trumpites as much as Will.

Trump’s followers are “xenophobic,” Gerson tells CNN. They have a “resentment of outsiders, of Mexico, of China, and immigrants. That’s more like a European right-wing party, a UKIP or a National Front in France. Republicans can’t incorporate that.”

But if the GOP has no room for Trump’s followers, it has no future. For there simply aren’t that many chamber-of-commerce and country-club Republicans.

Gerson mentions with disgust the U.K. Independence Party and France’s National Front. What do those parties have in common?

Both are anti-New World Order. Both arose to recapture the lost independence and sovereignty of their nations from the nameless, faceless bureaucrats of Brussels, those EU hacks who now dictate the kinds of laws and societies the Brits and French are permitted to have.

What motivates these folks is not all that different from what brought the farmers to Lexington Green and Concord Bridge and inspired colonists to stand by the original Tea Party boys in Boston.

New parties arise and outsiders are drawn into politics to fill voids and vacuums created by the failure of incumbent parties and politicians...

International Politics

by Tom Tancredo
August 8, 2015

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump deserves credit for forcing all 17 Republican candidates to talk about the social costs of illegal immigration, but it is not “Trump’s issue.” We will be making a fatal mistake if we let the media discuss it that way.

As Ann Coulter has pointed out, this is the most critical issue of the 2016 race because this is the issue that will define whether or not there will even be an American nation recognizable as the “home of the free and land of the brave.”

But illegal immigration is not “Ann Coulter’s issue” any more than it is “Tom Tancredo’s issue.” It is America’s issue — not only because it will define America in the 21st Century but because it also defines American elections and who will be voting in elections in 2020 and beyond. It also illuminates the power of the mainstream media to keep issues off the national stage.

Think of illegal immigration this way: If the liberal media can keep illegal alien crime out of the “kitchen table debate,” they can keep any issue out of the debate. And they will if they can get away with it. For those reasons, illegal immigration is much more than an issue of public policy; it is the poster child for media malpractice.

The media’s attempt to suppress public awareness over illegal alien crime and the effects of illegal immigration on American workers’ jobs and wages is nothing less than censorship on a massive scale. We need to start talking about it in those terms and hold the media accountable for the lack of ethical standards.

The mainstream media – including, sadly, major segments of the presumably conservative media, like the Wall Street Journal — are working overtime to keep the American public and the American voters in the dark on the scope of illegal alien crime. The murder of Kate Steinle in San Francisco exposed only the tip of a massive iceberg, and the media establishment is desperate to avoid dealing with the iceberg underneath.

Let’s look at a few numbersYou haven’t seen them in the New York Times, Atlanta Constitution, or the Miami Herald, nor have they been featured on NBC Nightly news or CNN. So, the average American is blissfully unaware of them.

  • Between 2008 and 2014, 40% of all murder convictions in Florida were criminal aliens. In New York it was 34% and Arizona 17.8%.
  • During those years, criminal aliens accounted for 38% of all murder convictions in the five states of California, Texas, Arizona, Florida and New York, while illegal aliens constitute only 5.6% of the total population in those states.
  • That 38% represents 7,085 murders out of the total of 18,643...

Playing the Trump Card for Political Correctness
International Politics

Playing the Trump Card for Political Correctness

The hideous disgust, that so many American have for politics, has raised its wretched head once again. The culprits are familiar. The tactics are well established. And the source of the slime comes out of a pathetic nihilism that is known as “Political Correctness”. The cultural assault that has turned political dialogue into an authoritarian inquisition lies at the foundation of much of what is wrong with public life. Free Speech does not exist for those, who presume to challenge the sacred tenants of totalitarian assimilation. Any society that punishes someone who opposes the mythical postulates that racism, equal rights and a collectivist world view is dangerous. When the only allowable viewpoint is dictated by Marxist comrades, coexistence is not possible.

The dikes of civil dialogue have been undermined with a vicious attack and in a detestable manner that is the very definition of mean-spirited. Pray tell, the “PC” crowd is the epitome of hypocrisy and deceit. In their perfect government economic world, the very idea of conducting useful and productive business is abhorrent to worshippers of these disturbed redistribution proponents.

Thus, the mere notion that a non politician could be considered as a viable candidate for public office gets the gullible moveon.org true believers dancing to the tune of the Soros manipulators, who perfect the gatekeeper strategies to eliminate any real competition to the status quo.

So under such circumstances, it would be expected that Donald Trump will become the latest target of the New World Order cabal of demonic commissars. How dare the “Donald” take exception to the singular narrative of progressive doctrine and expose the ugly underbelly of open borders.

In his presidential announcement, the politically incorrect candidate defines the nature of the struggle. Donald Trump Transcript: ‘Our Country Needs a Truly Great Leader’ lists his pitch and call to action. Such moxie is taboo in the establishment corridors of the bi-partisan party club. So the expected firestorm coming out from confronting careerist scoundrels illustrates that his is hitting a raw nerve. The established order; from gutless politicians, to media whores and pseudo pundits have declared war.

National oblivion is a cardinal objective that is transforming America into a third world cesspool. A sure sign that his message resonates with ordinary citizens come out of familiar fellow travelers, Hollywood Mocks Donald Trump's Announcement That He's Running for President.

“Donald Trump's Tuesday morning announcement that he's running for president was quickly greeted by jokes on social media from many in the entertainment industry.”

Contrast this attitude with his support from the grassroots.

After taking second place in the latest New Hampshire polls, Trump is also claiming the silver in Iowa -- where he traveled hot off his announcement -- claiming 10% of support among likely caucus-goers, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday.”

The disconnect between a traditional conservative society and the brave new world of autocratic “No Tolerance” has never been wider entering this presidential cycle. Add to this mix the rip snorting attacks against Carly Fiorina for daring to expose the wicked queen of sleaze, Hillary Clinton. The mere notion that a woman would turn on her gender over policy issues just cannot be allowed, since keeping the purity of the autocrat message overrides personalities and ideological differences.

Only allegiance to the merging of America into the global NWO hegemony is permitted. Both Trump and Fiorina are not elected officials looking to advance a career that typically requires selling one’s souls to international finance and global governance.

Imposing and enforcing a rigid compliance to the didactics of “Political Correctness” is the supreme prime objective in selecting a President. In order to run for the privilege of occupying the oval office, the purity of message must be adhered to during the selection charade.

Just the notion that a candidate will speak the truth about illegal immigration translates into a campaign of scorch earth carnage. What Trump's Poll Numbers Mean argues.

“We can’t predict what the information context will be in various states right before Republicans vote in primaries. We can say that by then it will depend on recent events and on the orchestrations of party actors -- with favored candidates reaping positive publicity.”

On this last point, regarding positive publicity, who can dispute that the entire arsenal of mainstream media is focused on blowing Trump out of the waters before his traction, based upon public discontent, builds.

Add to this pressure cooker the onslaught terminations from NBC, Univision, Macy’s and a vivid portrait of revenge and fear emerges from the establishment. Such a controversy only exists because Trump is using anti-establishment rhetoric in his campaign and his message is falling on eager ears of sincere nationalists.

The alleged lunacy, in reality is a factual assessment that the Mexico regime is turning America into a dumping ground for undesirables is both fair and a truthful contention. An outcry that any discussion that criticizes or condemns a policy or practice that is fundamentally destroying the nation is sophistry or outright subversion.

Nonetheless, that is exactly the “PC” environment that exists in the popular culture.

When the anointed lackeys are instructed by Alfonso Aguilar, a Republican who leads the American Principles Project's Latino Partnership, GOP candidates urged to condemn Trump, he is playing into the hands of the social engineers, who have destroyed any heritage and sound principles for an orderly society.

"The time has come for the candidates to distance themselves from Trump and call his comments what they are: ludicrous, baseless, and insulting," Aguilar said. "Sadly, it hurts the party with Hispanic voters. It's a level of idiocy I haven't seen in a long time."

One need not like Trump as a person or a candidate to acknowledge that Aguilar’s admonitions are systematic of the decay that has institutionalized the country. Allowing unlimited migration into our country produces the exact results that Trump articulates.

Yet, the drumbeat is to isolate Donald Trump to the pit of irrelevant punishment because he has the guts to tell the truth to a public yearning for straight talk and bold action.

That’s the reason he is so dangerous to the globalists who have conquered our Republic. Just analyze the subtle slam at Trump from the New York Times.

“Mr. Trump could unite the most vituperative, fact-averse denouncers of President Obama (he was a champion of the "birther" camp that questioned whether the president was actually born in Hawaii); the many upwardly aspirational people who have attended his motivational speeches or purchased his business books; and at least some golfers who have played on his courses. It seems a stretch to think he will generate much support from the wealthy Republican establishment: Even in New York City, business leaders have long held Mr. Trump at arm's length.”

Adding more fuel to the firestorm, the Daily Caller reports in, Legal Experts: NYC Mayor Action Against Trump ‘Not the American Way’ that commissar NYC mayor Bill de Blasio pushes the “Political Correctness” doctrine into extreme mode. Even Alan Dershowitz says enough is enough.

“The city was reviewing all of Trump’s contracts. Now civil liberties advocates are striking back at the mayor’s proposed action, which Dershowitz said was “plainly unconstitutional.”

They point to a landmark 1996 Supreme Court ruling that overwhelmingly declared it was unconstitutional to tie governmental contracts to a person’s beliefs.

“The city says, ‘We don’t want to renew it because we don’t like your speech.’ That would presumptively violate the First Amendment,” noted UCLA law professor Eugene Volokh in a DCNF interview. “The statement by the Mayor is a real danger to public debate,” he said, charging it would set dubious precedent for all city contractors, big and small.”

Welcome to the outer limits of civilization. The radical left authoritarians are the foe of the American experience that has offered an opportunity for inclusion to assimilate into a framework of opportunity and responsibility.

In the Political Correct society of “I see a racist behind every tree”, you have a breed of intellectual cripples, who do not have the ability to think, much less accept truth over fiction.

American is rapidly failing on all levels and there is no political solution to reverse this trend without a total repudiation of the “PC” culture.

It is because of this reason that Trump is relevant. Listening to the cowards in the Republican Party establishment is settling for de Blasio light, awaiting the next sellout of time-honored values.

Ignoring the nature of the cultural war on logic, facts and truth, guarantees defeat in the battle against the “PC” socialists. The empty dream of the rule of the proletariat has always been the invention of the financial elites to disguise their actual direction behind class warfare.

Using Trump as a scapegoat is pitiful. If extremists of any ideology accept the false dogma of zero tolerance, they are the real racists. For genuine lovers of liberty, keeping the stars and bars in historical context becomes a banner of defiance against “Political Correctness”.

Welcome to Hillary Island, a Pleasant Little Police State
International Politics

by Olivia Nuzzi
June 13, 2015

For the first big speech of her 2016 campaign, Hillary Clinton turned a little-known strip of New York into a serene summertime autocracy, pleasant and creepy at the same time.

It’s an odd sensation to be sitting on the back of a golf cart, holding on for dear life, as a member of Hillary Clinton’s security team—bald and meat-headed, his blazer straining to remain stitched around his bulky arms—speeds like O.J. Simpson in order to deliver you to a secure location. This can happen, I now know, if you happen to make the mistake of walking down the wrong pathway—of a public park—on your way to a Clinton speech.

“Get in!” he barked. Then, a sigh: “Not your fault.” That’s just the way things are around here.

Here would be Hillary Island—formerly Roosevelt Island—a strip of land located in the middle of the East River between Manhattan and Queens that some 10,000 New Yorkers call home. More specifically, here is Four Freedoms Park—a grassy island enclave named for the Four Freedoms FDR spelled out in his 1941 State of the Union speech: Freedom of speech, of worship, from the want, and from fear—where the Clinton team has assembled a red and blue stage, in the shape of an H, for her to pace on as she delivers her first major campaign speech.

Clinton formally declared her candidacy for the Democratic nomination almost exactly a month ago, in April, with a 2:15 video. “Everyday Americans need a champion,” she said then. “And I wanna be that champion.”

Since that time, Clinton has not been heard from much as she has traveled around, talking to some voters and ignoring questions from the media and trying to seem as normal as possible despite being anything but. Saturday’s event was designed to highlight her champion-ness by contrasting her with the New Deal Democrat, whose Four Freedoms she has attempted to mimic with her own “Four Fights,” the economy, families, campaign finance and national security...

Games Politicians Play (or: "Psychopathy in High Places")
International Politics

The career political class is the quintessential predatory clique. If you remember and understand any aspect about politics, let it be the nature of the people who devote their lives to a band of thieves. Forget about the seeming dissimilarities in ideology, the political culture maintains a common conduct. Ignore the rhetoric that resembles opposing viewpoints, the club of controllers protect each other. And if you ever believed in heroes and are still waiting for a savior, your disappointment will eventually turn into despair. What sustains the process of government is the deception of its vice and the refusal of the public to admit that the game never changes...

 The Original Captain Trips
International Politics

by Todd Brendan Fahey
April 23, 2015

The following originally appeared in High Times, November 1991

There was a time in my life, late Spring of 1990, when I found myself worrying about the little things: the car that had been in my rearview mirror for several miles and many odd street changes, or the sonar blip somewhere in the bowels of my phone line to which I could set my watch, or whether this turn of the ignition key would be the last move I would ever make.  My then-literary agent–William Stankey, whose representation I shared with Hunter S. Thompson–used to kid me about it: “God damn, your phone is fucking lousy!  They’ve got you bugged from here to gone!”  And according to persons I trust and who have intimate familiarity with such things, yes, “they” did and had, and is why I fled Los Angeles in the middle of the night late that year and have been discrete with mine address ever since.

In 1989 I had stumbled upon “Captain” Al Hubbard from having read the two seminal nonfiction works surrounding the origins of LSD: Acid Dreams and Storming Heaven.  Neither satisfied nor satiated with the thin chapters in each, I set out for myself the goal of knowing more about this mysterious force than anyone alive.  Through the aid of a professor at University of Southern California, the late Dr. Paul Gillette, who knew of my…interest in LSD, I would soon gain the phone number of Dr. Humphry Osmond, a Scottish psychiatrist who had turned Aldous Huxley onto mescaline and which inspired The Doors of Perception; Dr. Osmond would, for his own reasons, turn me onto the phone numbers of everyone who had ever been associated with Alfred M. Hubbard, and this article would complete itself in late-1991.

The journey went on and I would write a novel, Wisdom’s Maw, that was and still is considered untouchable by New York’s “literary mafia” (to cop a phrase from Timothy Leary, whom I interviewed several times by phone and finally in person in 1992).  According to Bill Stankey, every publisher in New York had read the manuscript and all deemed it “subversive and potentially libelous,” and so with middle finger upturned, I formed my own small press imprint, Far Gone Books, and published it myself in 1996.  This is a flashback that should make RealitySandwich readers smile.

*  *  *

You will not read about him in the history books. He left no diary, nor chatty relatives to memorialize him in print. And if a cadre of associates had not recently agreed to open its files, Captain Alfred M. Hubbard might exist in death as he did in life–a man of mirrors and shadows, revealing himself to even his closest friends only on a need-to-know basis.

They called him “the Johnny Appleseed of LSD.” He was to the psychedelic movement nothing less than the membrane through which all passed to enter into the Mysteries. Beverly Hills psychiatrist Oscar Janiger once said of Hubbard, “We waited for him like a little old lady for the Sears-Roebuck catalog.” Waited for him to unlock his ever-present leather satchel loaded with pharmaceutically-pure psilocybin, mescaline or his personal favorite, Sandoz LSD-25.

Those who will talk about Al Hubbard are few. Oscar Janiger told this writer that “nothing of substance has been written about Al Hubbard, and probably nothing ever should.”...

 Seeing Opportunity in Psychedelic Drugs
International Politics
New research into LSD and psilocybin makes a powerful argument against prohibition.

MAR 8 2015, 5:37 PM ET

In a massive study published in the Journal of Psychopharmacology, scientists at the Norwegian University for Science and Technology at Trondheim concluded that there is no link between the use of LSD and psilocybin (the active ingredient in magic mushrooms) and mental-health problems. The study selected 135,000 participants at random—including 19,000 who had used psychedelic drugs—and found no evidence linking such drugs to the onset of mental disorders.

"Over 30 million U.S. adults have tried psychedelics and there just is not much evidence of health problems," the author and clinical psychologist Pål-Ørjan Johansen said.

Johanesen was careful to acknowledge that users of psychedelic drugs are not immune to bad trips, and are as susceptible as anyone else to mental-health issues. But his findings negate a common perception that drugs like LSD put users directly in danger—a justification used in criminalization.

"This study assures us that there were not widespread 'acid casualties' in the 1960s,” Charles Grob, a pediatric psychiatrist at UCLA, told Nature...

How the GOP Became the Israel Party
International Politics

by Scott McConnell
The American Conservative
April 8, 2015

When the unexpectedly detailed P5+1 framework agreement with Iran was announced last Thursday, Illinois Republican Mark Kirk made a bizarre comment. “We all know” said the senator, that this is going to end with “a mushroom cloud somewhere near Tehran”—a result of Israel having to go to war to “clean up the mess” made by American and European negotiators. A few days earlier John McCain had expressed the wish that Israel “go rogue” and attack Iran in order to upend the Iran negotiations.

It would have been one thing if such comments had come from backbench congressmen. But McCain is a former GOP presidential nominee, one of his party’s most prominent foreign policy spokesmen. Kirk is the co-sponsor of what was, until recently, the major Senate legislation intended to scuttle the Iran negotiations—a leader in GOP “pro-Israel” circles. Yet neither remark sparked a repudiation, or even any reaction at all. They were what one expects from the GOP these days, recklessness about war and peace fused with a passion for Israel. It was if all the diffuse sentiments which once fueled American nationalism and militarism were concentrated into a tight stream and displaced onto Israel, turning the country into the fantasy surrogate of American hawks. The conservative belief in American exceptionalism is like Zionism, Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol boasted. Kirk and McCain may know that Americans have little enthusiasm for another Mideast war; the U.S. Army understands perfectly well that no occupation of Iran could be sustained, and America would have zero international support if it tried. But no matter, they have Israel.

Even 20 years ago some Republican senator would have signaled some collegial disagreement with Kirk and McCain. A Bob Dole or Dick Lugar or a Mark Hatfield would have let on that this sentiment wasn’t the only opinion in the party. Now if there are any who dissent, they dare not speak. Benjamin Netanyahu has become the symbolic leader of the GOP, and even he is probably not as aggressive as most in the party would like him to be.

How did this transformation occur? How did the party of Dwight Eisenhower, Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan come to this? The New York Times published two recent pieces exploring this subject. The first, by Peter Baker, takes off from observing Jeb Bush very quickly disassociating himself from former Secretary of State James Baker’s moderate speech at J Street; the second, by Eric Lipton, explored the rapid growth in ties between hawkish pro-Israel donors and the Republican Party.

Baker’s piece fills out the basics: the top realist foreign policy voices of the 1980s and ‘90s GOP, Baker, and Colin Powell and Brent Scowcroft have no influence anymore. Jeb Bush threw James Baker under the bus at the first squawk from Sheldon Adelson; support for the Israeli right has become a Republican litmus test. To explain this, Baker mentions the new donors, the rise of right-wing evangelicals within the party, the vague sense emerging from 9/11 that Israel and the United States faced the same enemy in Islamic terrorism, and the pro-Israeli leadership of George W. Bush, who repudiated the foreign policy realism of his father...

Korean Air Heiress Pleads for Leniency in ‘Nut Rage’ Appeal
International Politics

By Reera Yoo
April 1, 2015

Heather Cho, the eldest daughter of Korean Air’s chairman, asked an appeal court on Wednesday to overturn her conviction for disrupting a flight in an angry outburst over cabin service.

Cho, the former vice president of Korean Air, was sentenced to one year in prison over an in-flight incident at New York’s John F. Kennedy airport. After she became angered by how she was served macadamia nuts, the executive forced a taxiing plane to return to its departure gate in order to eject the cabin crew chief off the plane, according to Reuters.

In February, a lower court found Cho guilty on multiple charges: forcing flight route deviation, obstructing aviation safety and assaulting two cabin crewmembers physically and verbally.

The incident sparked widespread ridicule and public anger towards chaebols, families that run South Korea’s largest conglomerates. Many critics questioned whether or not chaebol families had excessive influence on running the country.

In the first session of Cho’s appeal hearing on Wednesday, the heiress’ attorney sought to reduce her sentence by asserting that the plane’s movement of 20 meters on land is not enough for it to be considered to be in flight.

“Let me take this chance to ask the victims for forgiveness … I am repenting for what I have done. I am asking for leniency,” Cho said, wearing an olive-green prison uniform at her appeal hearing, according to the Wall Street Journal...

I have grown accustomed to his squawk.  I want to track the critter down and befriend it.  I could hide overnight, when it's warmer; sleep on a tarp on the earth and covered by camouflage clothing...and wait for it to gobble some corn that I spread on the soil.  Then I would catch it, hold it sternly and talk to it about its behavior.

It's that kind of day.  %----}

The 1990s were not kind to the Sixties. It was nigh on impossible to see published an interview with or article surrounding a psychedelic icon in the age of "Bill-who-didn't-inhale."

In this, the 21st-century!, a Web 'zine called RealitySandwich.com has proven itself interested in matters of the mind--the neurosphere, that place where we all should learn to navigate more effectively and efficiently. Timothy Leary knew it way back when, and novelist Todd Brendan Fahey interviewed the good Doktor way back when and not a magazine on earth would pick up the gig.

The evening is now open for viewing, smoking ordinances have not yet been imposed. Two minds in concert, and well worth the wait: http://realitysandwich.com/292990/timothy-leary-twentieth-century-neuronaut/

New Hampshire Focus Groups Reveal Possible Problems for Bush, Clinton

Bloomberg Politics
March 19, 2015

Hillary Clinton and Jeb Bush, the presumptive establishment frontrunners for the 2016 presidential nomination, may be facing real problems within their parties.

In Bloomberg Politics-Purple Strategies focus groups convened this week in New Hampshire, even likely Democratic primary voters who are ardent Clinton supporters said they are closely following and are turned off by her handling of a controversy over her use of private rather than government e-mail while she served as secretary of state. And several said she should turn over her private e-mail server to a neutral third party for review.

And some underpinnings of Bush’s general election appeal—his family’s legacy of political service, a perceived openness to liberalizing immigration policy and support of Common Core education standards—have led several likely Republican primary voters to conclude they can't support him, and that there’s probably nothing Bush can do to change their minds. None said they’d back Bush if they were voting today...

Amerika: Love It or Leave It
International Politics

February 3, 2015

A half century ago the infamous and timeworn trope coming from the supporters of the Viet Nam War was all over the airwaves. “Love It or Leave It” was the standard retort from the gung-ho believers to the anti-war activists, who filled the streets with civil disobedience. An entire era of youth came under suspicion, from fathers of that “Greatest Generation” for questioning the purpose and wisdom of American leaders and the military policy that drafted dissenting objectors into coercive service.

Now with the undying “War on Terror” as the trumped up cornerstone of government survival, the same old party line of jingoism rises again to smear any opposition of the all mighty war machine.

The following is written by a student, Alex Bertsch, not back in the 1960’s but in this year.

“I can’t question the actions of the military without being anti-American. I can’t question events like the My Lai Massacre, in which U.S. Army soldiers killed between 347 and 504 unarmed civilians in Vietnam, with virtually no punishment. I am barely allowed to question the Haditha Killings, in which U.S. Marines killed 24 civilians in 2006. Questioning these atrocities would be “un-American.”

As the public is being conditioned for the next round of conflicts, the mere idea of conducting an open and frank debate is too dangerous to allow. So when the hullabaloo over the Chris Kyle movie, “American Sniper” exploded, the NeoCons rushed in to prance out their ultranationalism for the NWO age. Just what kind of world has these super patriots of the internationalist imperium bestowed on humanity?

Start with a review of the violent history of our species and especially the involvements from our own country in its short existence.

In the lifetime of the eldest living Americans, the Major Military Operations Since World War II, gives a summary of the largest involvements.

For a more comprehensive analysis of American conflicts, “We’re at War!” — And We Have Been Since 1776: 214 Years of American War-Making, provides an exhausted list.

* Pick any year since 1776 and there is about a 91% chance that America was involved in some war during that calendar year.

* No U.S. president truly qualifies as a peacetime president.  Instead, all U.S. presidents can technically be considered “war presidents.”

* The U.S. has never gone a decade without war.

* The only time the U.S. went five years without war (1935-40) was during the isolationist period of the Great Depression.

If the goal is to build a global empire, all these campaigns fit a pattern of design and intention. But is this the true purpose of our founding as a nation?

When John Milton Hay Secretary of State coined the phrase, "A Splendid Little War" - Whose War Is It?, he must have known that expansion to form an intercontinental realm was put irrepressibly in motion.

“This NeoConservative philosophy is pure Internationalism in its most raw form. It is the antithesis of traditional American policy, and attempts to foster a new imperialism that is totally out of step and discredited by civilized societies. The portrait of the 'Ugly American' is one that needs to be relegated to the scrap heap of embarrassed memories.”

Regretfully, the entire last hundred years, billed as the American century, just continued an imperialism that kicked off with the Spanish American War. This foreign policy never made the world safe for some mythical “Democracy”, but actually set forth a domination culture of rhetoric and force that fostered the economic corporatist interests, protected by garrison outposts scattered around the world.

So what slight of hand or mental hypnoses keeps the gullible public from facing up to the indisputable facts that all these oversea adventures actually destroy our country’s real security?

Libertarian Jacob G. Hornberger makes a striking argument in THE TROOPS ARE DESTROYING OUR COUNTRY that help answers this question. This viewpoint goes directly to de-constructing the silly blind faith that the pudden-head flag waivers keep following with every additional failed overseas venture.

“The mindset that is common to U.S. troops serving overseas is that they are all doing it for America, for us, for our rights and  freedoms, for our safety and security. They’ll all tell you that they are doing it because they love their country.

There’s one big problem with that mindset, however. The truth is that the troops, through what they’re doing over there, are indirectly destroying our country, our rights and freedoms, our safety and security, and our economic well-being.

Once again, the justification is to “keep us safe.” Safe from what? From the people over there who are angry over what the troops are doing over there. The more people the troops kill and maim, the angrier people get, the greater the threat of terrorist retaliation, the greater the need to keep us safe, and the greater the infringements on our freedom and well-being.

The troops have convinced themselves that they’re over there killing the people who would otherwise be coming over here to kill us. That’s ridiculous. If people wanted to come over here to kill us, they could easily circumvent the troops and come over here and kill us.”

With the open border approach in effect, the long forgotten Monroe Doctrine exempts the refugees from our hemisphere from colonizing our own land. Such acts of aggression go unpunished, while deploying foreign legions around the rest of the globe is defended as necessary.

Wake up America! Where is the common sense to ignore the pontifications of government authorities and trained seal newspeak propagandists?

Celebrating the gallantry of a Navy Seal psychopath assassin like Chris Kyle defies the most rudimentary sense of moral scrutiny, even if one wants to argue the “just war” theorem. However, if you candidly research the covert connections in the creation, funding and training of the mythical terrorism threats, the conclusion will adopt the undeniable linkage to Western government’s hidden hand behind the scenes.

Ken O’Keefe, a former US Marine discusses Washington's major role in either generating or aggravating most of the current crises across the world and allowing groups like the ISIL Takfiri terrorists to foster and grow in the video US can no longer deny its support for ISIL.

Much has been written about how the world has changed after 9-11. The three videos on 911 a saga of deceit and lies goes unanswered because the facts presented has no legitimate counter by the establishment warmongers.

Chicken hawks, like Senator Lindsay Graham that routinely spread their dribble on Faux News are reprehensible. When his patron oracle Senator John McCain spills his vile indignation, the pompous faithful of the permanent warfare society rally round his banner.

The Zero Hedge article asks important questions, 59% Of Americans Support Post-9/11 Torture – Propaganda, Cultural Sickness, Or Both? The way you answer directly reflects your attitude about the supposed “War on Terror”. Whatever it takes to keep the homeland safe never includes questioning the factual circumstances that reveal the false flag nature, used for the phony justification to build a domestic police state.

There is no place for the “Truth Movement” in the realm of the NeoCon right-thinking camp. One such Kool-Aid dispenser in the deadly disease of disinformation is Cliff Kincaid. His article, Lies of the 9/11 “Truth” Movement, published in Accuracy in Media is a classic in denial.

“The “inside job” theory of 9/11 is appealing to those holding a Marxist or anti-Semitic view that American foreign policy is secretly manipulated by “imperialist” or “Zionist” agents. On other occasions, the puppet-masters are “global elites” or members of secret clubs. These theories preclude serious thinking about why America is under attack and by whom. Facts and evidence don’t matter when a theory about sinister secret agents with no names makes more sense.”

Paleo-conservatives are the genuine voice of authentic conservatism. The Love It or Leave It crowds of paper mache sword waving jingoists, who purport to be patriots are committed internationalists in the advancement of an American Empire. Their bellicose and warmongering mindset is no formula for genuine patriotism.

More Liberty Now concludes and asks a question that few dare to confront.

“Love it or leave it” admits that the government is a monopoly that claims ownership of us all. This ultimatum is not compatible with free market beliefs. It advocates settling for mediocrity and a monopoly. Worst of all, it’s a false choice since the very government we are urged to love will not allow anyone to leave its jurisdiction. That doesn’t fit within any definition of ‘patriotic’ I’m aware of. Does it fit yours?”

People are so dumb down about true national security since 911 and gleefully boast and demonstrate their pride in stupidity. Hypocrites who refuse to face reality about their government and foreign policy wickedness, while pretending to be champions of American principles are mentally ill betrayers.

Amerika is in a death spiral because denial is the new national anthem, sung to the tune of THE BATTLE HYMN OF THE REPUBLIC, for an American nation that no longer exists.

China Deploys Nuclear Missiles at Mt. Baekdu, North Korea
International Politics
englishnews@chosun.com / Jan. 19, 2015 13:26 KST

China has deployed Dongfeng-21 medium-range ballistic missiles at Mt. Baekdu that target Japan, the official International Herald Leader reported on Sunday.

The newspaper claimed it "analyzed" China Central Television footage of a nuclear arms and missiles corps in training in northeastern China to arrive at the conclusion. But since it is an official publication, the news is more likely to be a government plant than an investigative scoop.

The DF-21 series were originally ground-to-ground ballistic missiles with a range of 1,700-2,100 km, but the latest version in the series is modified into anti-ship ballistic missiles with a range of 3,000 km, which can threaten the U.S. aircraft carrier fleet.

The original version can hit any target in Korea and Japan, including U.S. Forces Japan bases in Okinawa. It can carry a 200-500 kiloton nuclear warhead. It is 10.7 m long and can fly at a speed of Mach 10. Its accuracy has improved from a 300-400 m radius to 1/10 of that.

The latest anti-ship version can hit the U.S. aircraft carrier fleet near Guam, the U.S. strategic bridgehead in the Asia-Pacific region as well as any target in the East Seas.  It is very difficult to intercept because it is so fast and can change path in the final stage of flight.

China also reportedly deployed DF-21 missiles on the coast of Shandong Province in preparation for clashes with Japan over the Diaoyutai/Senkaku Islands in the East China Sea. Shandong is close to the East China Sea but vulnerable to an attack by the Japanese air force.

China is believed to have some 50 to 100 missiles in the DF-21 series.

Prof. Cho Yang-hyun of the Korea National Diplomatic Academy said, "If China has deployed DF-21 missiles at Mt. Baekdu, it's a warning to the military alliance among Seoul, Washington and Tokyo."

1/6/15 5:35 PM EST

John Boehner is getting revenge.

After he secured his third term as speaker Tuesday afternoon, losing 25 votes on the House floor to some relative-unknown members of the Republican Conference, Boehner moved swiftly to boot two of the insurgents from the influential Rules Committee. That could be just the start of payback for the speaker’s betrayers, who might see subcommittee chairmanships and other perks fall away in the coming months.

Boehner’s allies have thirsted for this kind of action from the speaker, saying he’s let people walk all over him for too long and is too nice to people who are eager to stab him in the back. The removal of Florida Reps. Daniel Webster and Rich Nugent from Rules was meant as a clear demonstration that what Boehner and other party leaders accepted during the last Congress is no longer acceptable, not with the House’s biggest GOP majority in decades.

The reason for dethroning the two Florida Republicans was simple: Webster ran against Boehner for speaker, distributing fliers outlining his candidacy and talking about how he would better adhere to the House rules than the Ohio Republican. Nugent supported his fellow Floridian in the quixotic endeavor, which garnered the support of 12 lawmakers. Webster didn’t even give Boehner a heads-up that he was running, although leadership was aware early Tuesday morning that it could happen...

Slavery Still Thrives On South Korean Islands
International Politics

January 2, 2015

If you thought slavery has been wiped out, you would be sorely mistaken. The barbaric act of exploiting and abusing people still takes place in South Korea.

Described as a “living hell,” the chain of rural islands off South Korea’s rugged southwest coast have shallow sea-fed fields where slaves are forced to work 18 hour shifts without pay. Slaves are made to mine salt that collects after sea water evaporates from the fields.

What’s even more horrendous is that the slavery involves mostly disabled men and women who are too feeble or simply incapable of planning and executing their escape from these islands.

Appallingly, slavery has been so ubiquitous here that regional judges have shown leniency toward several of the perpetrators of the heinous crime. In suspending the prison sentences of two farmers, a court noted that “such criminal activities were tolerated as common practice by a large number of salt farms nearby.”

Five times during the last decade, revelations of slavery involving the disabled have surfaced, each time generating national shame and outrage. Based on the accounts of escapees, officials searched more than 38,000 salt, fish and agricultural farms and disabled facilities, but found no more than 100 workers who had received no — or only scant — pay. Moreover, only about 100 people had been reported missing by their families. Surprisingly, though 50 island farm owners and regional job brokers were indicted, no local police or officials have ever faced punishment, and according to the national police, no one involved with slavery will ever see a day in court or face incarceration...

China 'deletes' Gmail, shuts Google out of mainland
International Politics

Yahoo Finance
By Nicole Goodkind
December 30, 2014

Google’s (GOOGL) email service, Gmail, is currently unavailable in China. The outage is widely believed to be a result of the Chinese government attempting to curb the company’s growing presence.

Reports of Gmail not working in China began on Friday and data from Google’s real-time traffic report shows a steep drop that coincides. Google spokesman Taj Meadows has said “there’s nothing wrong on our end,” and China’s State Internet Information Office has yet to respond.

“Gmail has never been openly permitted in China but there’s been this workaround. People in China have been able to use these third-party providers to access Gmail while in the country,” explains Yahoo Finance senior columnist Michael Santoli.

Chinese Gmail users would access the site through protocols like IMAP and SMTP but found that they no longer worked on Friday. “All of a sudden Gmail traffic goes to zero so presumably everyone who looks at these things says that China obviously put up a new wall that’s actually working.” Call it the great firewall.

This wouldn’t be the first case of an unexplained internet blockage by the Chinese government—YouTube, Facebook (FB), Twitter (TWTR) and The New York Times are just some of the websites that have experienced bans of their own.

The Gmail ban, however, is hurting companies in China that rely on the mail service. “A lot of companies that do business in China that are multinationals do use the Gmail platform and so it’s obviously another headache and hurdle to doing business in China,” says Santoli...

Airline Heiress' Sister Blunders into 'Nut Rage' Fray
International Politics

englishnews@chosun.com / Dec. 23, 2014 10:38 KST

Cho Hyun-min Cho Hyun-min

The younger sister of disgraced Korean Air heiress Cho Hyun-ah sent an e-mail to employees of the carrier on Monday urging them to share the blame for the "nut rage" scandal.

The message from Cho Hyun-min, who is the airline's head of marketing, appears to suggest that other staff should also be held accountable for the incident that has made the carrier a laughing stock around the world.

Cho Hyun-ah faces charges of violating aviation regulations after she bawled out a flight attendant for serving her nuts incorrectly and then ordered the purser off the plane, forcing the pilot to return to the gate and delaying the flight.

According to Korean Air, Cho Hyun-min sent the e-mail titled "apology" to around 50 other staff in the marketing division last week and said the scandal is "not the result of one person" but "mistakes committed by all employees."

The e-mail went viral on the Internet and dealt a further blow to the airline's already heavily damaged reputation. One Korean Air staffer said, "The owners still don’t seem to understand what's at the heart of the problem."

A Korean Air spokesman said the message had been "misunderstood."

Airline Heiress Resigns Vice Presidency Over 'Nut Rage'
International Politics

englishnews@chosun.com / Dec. 11, 2014 12:16 KST

The daughter of the Korean Air boss, who exposed the carrier to global ridicule with an attack of "nut rage," resigned her vice presidency on Wednesday.

Cho Hyun-ah Cho Hyun-ah

On Tuesday, Cho Hyun-ah quit her duties as head of in-flight service and hotel operations, but remained a vice president and board member, sparking suspicions that Korean Air was simply giving her time off until the scandal blew over.

An airline spokesman said she will remain a board member until the carrier's annual shareholder's meeting in February.

Cho reportedly told Korean Air executives she wants to "take responsibility" for the incident and no longer be a burden for the company.

Her resignation followed a storm of criticism and global media reports of the incident at JFK airport in New York, where Cho bawled out a flight attendant for serving her nuts incorrectly and then had the purser removed from the plane for failing to find the relevant regulation quickly enough.

It is unclear whether Cho will also step down as head of three other Korean Air affiliates, including a chain of hotels.

Meanwhile, the civic group People's Solidarity for Participatory Democracy filed a complaint against Cho at a Seoul district prosecutors' office on Wednesday, accusing her of violating aviation regulations. A civic group spokesman said, "According to internal accounts, Cho shouted and hurled insults at the flight attendant."

A Korean Air spokesman, however, claimed Cho "raised her voice" but did not insult the flight attendant. Korean Air also denied rumors that the purser in question has been suspended from work. "He has gone on sick leave, and allegations that he was initially denied sick leave are not true."

The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transportation plans to question Cho this week. A ministry official said, "We've wrapped up interviews with around a dozen employees, including the purser, and asked JFK airport for transcripts of the conversation between the pilot and flight control when the aircraft returned to the boarding gate" to drop off the purser.

The ministry has also asked Korean Air for the contact numbers of passengers who were aboard the flight during Cho's hissy fit.
